How to Install and Change the Loading Screen for Your FiveM Server
Customize Your FiveM Server Experience with a Unique Loading Screen
Adding a personalized loading screen to your FiveM server can give players a more immersive experience while they wait for the game to load. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to install and change the loading screen on your FiveM server.
Step 1: Choose and Download a Loading Screen
First, find a loading screen that suits your server's theme or style. You can find loading screens in the FiveM Forums, or create your own custom design. Once you have found the perfect loading screen, download the file to your computer.
Step 2: Prepare the Loading Screen Files
Rename the downloaded loading screen folder to "loadingscreen" (without quotes). Ensure that the folder contains an "index.html" file, which will be displayed as the loading screen in-game.
Step 3: Upload the Loading Screen Files
Connect to your FiveM server using an FTP client, such as FileZilla. Navigate to the "resources" folder on your server, and upload the renamed "loadingscreen" folder.
Step 4: Edit the Server.cfg File
Now, you need to add the loading screen to your server configuration. Access the server.cfg file in your server's main directory, either through your FTP client or your server control panel. Open the file with a text editor, such as Notepad++.
Add the following line at the end of the file:
start loadingscreen
Save the changes and close the server.cfg file.
Step 5: Restart Your FiveM Server
To apply the new loading screen, restart your FiveM server. When you or other players connect to the server, the custom loading screen will be displayed during the loading process.
That's it! You have now successfully installed and changed the loading screen for your FiveM server. Remember that you can always switch to a different loading screen by following these same steps, just make sure to replace the files in the "loadingscreen" folder with your new design.
