How to configure firewall for FiveM game server
In this article we will be discussing a quick and simple method of securing and setting up your firewall to whitelist and protect your FiveM game server. Please direct yourself to the "Firewall Manager" page inside of your portal account.
Once you've done this you can move forward to whitelisting your FiveM game server port via the firewall (default: 30120/TCP & UDP)
You will need to apply these whitelist rules for 30120 TCP & UDP for the game server to function. This image is used as a placeholder example.
Once you have verified that your server is responding to requests over 30120/TCP & UDP and the game server is functional you can now apply application specific filters to fine-tune the protection for your server. Direct yourself to the filters tab inside of the "Firewall Manager" once you have done this make a new filter as shown below for our FiveM filter.
It is necessary to apply the filter in the image above for 30120. This image is used as a placeholder example.
Congratulations your server is now ready to go for FiveM.
