A corrupted Minecraft world can cause server crashes, prevent the world from loading, or fail to start. If you have a world backup, we recommend restoring it instead of following this tutorial. However, if you don't have a backup or prefer to fix the existing world, follow the steps below.

Note: Create a backup of your server before attempting this. Fixing your world using this method may accidentally delete player-created buildings. Without a backup, you cannot recover lost data or try other methods of fixing your world.

Step-by-Step Guide to Fixing Corrupted Minecraft Worlds

Create a backup of your world on your Multicraft control panel under Files > Backup.
Download your world to your computer.
Install Python 3 from https://www.python.org/downloads/. Download the Python 3 version corresponding to your operating system (Windows, MacOS, Linux) and use default options during installation.
Download the Region Fixer zip file from https://github.com/Fenixin/Minecraft-Region-Fixer/releases.
Unzip the Region Fixer zip file.
Open Command Prompt (cmd) if using Windows, or Terminal if using Mac.
Enter the Region Fixer folder directory in Command Prompt or Terminal with the command: cd <full directory path>.
Run Region Fixer with the command: py regionfixer.py -p 4 --delete-corrupted <full directory path to world folder>.
Upload your fixed world via FTP (FileZilla) after deleting the previous corrupted world from the server.

If the issue persists, try these additional steps in the world directory:

Delete the level.dat file and restart your server.
Delete the playerdata folder and restart your server.
Delete the data folder and restart your server.

Alternatively, you can use MCEdit to load your world and delete any corrupt chunks or unneeded areas.

Conclusion

Repairing corrupted Minecraft worlds can be challenging, but following this step-by-step guide will help you restore your gaming experience. By using Region Fixer and other techniques, you can ensure a smooth and uninterrupted gameplay experience for you and your friends.
